About the Society
The Pylon Appreciation Society was set up and is run by
Flash Wilson Bristow.
Since 1999, she has run a "Pylons around the world" photo gallery on
her website, The Gorge - which
has grown over time to include an FAQ and all sorts of information.
This received an overwhelming response - from youngsters who love
pylons (and their frustrated parents) through to engineering students
- and many people in between who are just curious or inspired by these
steel giants.
In 2005, in order to be able to serve that need, the Pylon Appreciation
Society was formed.
